Amazon is pushing the try before you buy program with heavy emailing to most US and EU sellers. Sellers are now getting emails as well as calls from the Amazon managers to register for this program. However, there are a lot of issues with this program, and sellers are largely divided on the value that this will bring to their already limited profit margin.
Amazon did provide some relief to the sellers by stating that they will reimburse the cost if the customer chooses to return the item within seven days. However, as per experience in more than 10 years with Amazon selling this is basically something that is not much value to the seller as most of the buyers will either return it after 2 weeks. Even though this program is meant for trying but Amazon does provide 30 days return guarantee so practically there is nothing stopping the buyer from sending the item back after 2 or 3 weeks!
If Amazon is listening to the sellers then they must consider the full refund and no fees to the seller for any purchase made under this program when customers choose to return the item within 30 days period.
